The Horningsea Parish Charities, founded in the 18th century, are dedicated to supporting those in need within our village. Over the centuries, the charity’s mission has evolved, but its core purpose remains the same: to provide assistance to anyone in Horningsea facing challenging circumstances.
Today, the charity supports a variety of needs, from offering grants to young people to participate in sporting activities to helping the elderly with small grants during the Christmas season and much more between.
What We Do
The Parish Charities aim to:
- Provide modest grants (typically ranging from £25 to £100) to individuals in need. Going forward, we are exploring ways to make larger sums available, enabling us to offer more substantial support to those facing significant challenges.
- Assist young residents in accessing educational, cultural, or sporting opportunities.
- Support elderly or vulnerable villagers with financial assistance during special times of the year.
Although our resources are limited, our commitment to making a positive impact remains steadfast.
