VE Day Weekend Sunday 10th May 14:30.
As the other VE Day events are cancelled, the Church, with Fen Ditton & Teversham are having a Zoom (see below) VE Day Service on Sunday 10th May at 14.30. The Service will include readings from the Horningsea Vicar’s notes from 1943/4 from the church register, excerpts from Molly Marshall’s diaries in 1940 when she was in Finland, Lucas & Lilly Goodbrand from Priory Road will play Dona Nobis Pacem, Emily Kitt will sing We’ll Meet Again, the names of those who died in WWII will be read out and the Last Post will be played on the trumpet.
At 15:00 everyone will be asked to raise a glass of something to toast the anniversary.
You can join the Zoom meeting by emailing parishesthree@gmail.com. You will be “invited” to join the Zoom.

Zoom is a video conferencing application. It allows you to participate in a meeting with audio and video.
– If you just want to watch the video then you do not need a camera on your laptop/desktop/tablet/phone.
– If you just want to listen then the phone numbers in the invitation will allow you to do so with just a phone.
Zoom is pretty easy to use. You do not need an account and can do everything directly in a web browser by clicking the above link. There are iOS (iPad and iPhone) and Android clients too.
If you open an account then it is free for meetings up to 40 minutes long.
